The Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Wineries of Niagara- on- the- Lake consist of 22 wineries each offering an extensive variety of outstanding wines.

Nestled amidst a landscape of vineyards and orchards these wineries are minutes from each other, starting below the Niagara escarpment and stretching to the picturesque Niagara River Parkway and the shores of Lake Ontario creating four distinct appellations.

If you’re new to wine-speak, the term “appellation” simply means name, or designation.

When you’re renowned for making terroir wines, it’s important that the birthplace be noted.

This is something we’re seriously passionate about.
In Niagara-on-the-Lake, there are four official designations:

St. David’s Bench
